This is where it all began: on 28th December 1895, Auguste and Louis Lumiere presented this series of short films to an audience at the Salon Indieu du Grand Cafe in Paris. This screening was the first commercial cinema screening in the world, ever. The films were also produced by the Lumiere brothers, using their invention, the Cinematograph, which was the first “portable” video camera in the world.
