Enter Shikari - Zzzzonked.
WHAT IS THIS?! I’m not a particular fan of Enter Shikari anyway (after their first album they just went downhill) but this is especially abysmal. The vocals are dreadful and sound like a vaguely pubescent boy shouting angrily. Where is the “musical” talent in that? At least in more properly shouty music the vocals encapsulate some sort of talent because not everybody can create that shrieky noise (I can’t. I tried. Lots.). There is absolutely no rhythmical cohesion in the instrumental. It starts off with a vague beat but quickly degenerates into pure senseless noise. The overall effect is one reminiscent of a group of chimpanzees hammering away at instruments they, through lack of evolution-produced consciousness, have no idea how to use, and I daresay that even chimpanzees would do a better job. Poor show, Enter Shitari… sorry… Shikari…
